About this Event

Workshop description:

During this 3-hour workshop, set in a beautiful private garden space, we will dive into using drawing, dance/movement, and music as tools for embodied communication. First, we will lead you through a series of movement explorations - accompanied by live guitar music - inviting you to tune into your physical experience on several levels. Through drawing exercises, you will have the chance to express that experience on paper. In pairs, you will respond to each other's drawing through your own movement exploration. The workshop will culminate in a whole group movement exploration, accompanied by guitar music improvised in response to the movement.

The techniques and tools shared in this workshop are designed to heighten physical awareness, invite playful spontaneity, and practice whole-self presence and response to others. The goal of these explorations and exchanges is to offer new ways of communicating that are beyond language and to find ease and joy in sharing physical space together again.
