About this Event
Join skywatchers from around the world via Zoom as the Fleet Science Center's resident astronomer, Dr. Lisa Will, takes a closer look at the wonders of our skies on every third Wednesday of the month. This month, we will be looking at the magnetic field of Earth. The Earth is not the only celestial object with a magnetic field. Magnetic fields can be found on some other planets and moons. Our sun has a magnetic field, which leads to a phenomenon known as space weather. And the strongest magnetic fields in the universe are found in the remnants of dead stars. Together, we will learn more about magnetic fields in the cosmos!
