About this Event
This field trip is for Heartland Charter School students and their families.
The docent-led tour of the Museum galleries will include meaningful dialogue and in-depth learning around artifacts and themes of the Holocaust via Zoom. The talk will give your students the rare opportunity to hear from a Holocaust survivor, an impactful experience of intergenerational dialogue.
We encourage families to turn in a sample that is linked to the field trip that you attended during your next learning period. It helps to ensure that we can continue to provide these trips and their educational value.
Heartland field trips are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please indicate this when you register your student and let the field trip host know once you complete your registration. Any student that is registered without a chaperone will have their reservation canceled unless the family reaches out to the field trip lead and lets them know which registered chaperone will be responsible for their student.

Refunds will not be given. As a courtesy, if you are sick or unable to attend a field trip, please contact the teacher that planned the event to let them know so they do not wait at the venue for you. You may not send a different family in your place as we will not have a waiver for them.
Can I pay using my funds? This field trip is FREE. The Holocaust Museum’s admission and education programs are always free. However, we kindly ask that you consider donating to the museum if you are able, we suggest a donation of $5.60 ($.60 to cover the transaction cost) https://www.holocaustmuseumla.org/?form=DONATE
Does this trip have any height, weight, and/or age restrictions? Due to the nature of this topic we suggest this field trip for students in 8th-12th grades.
What are the check-in procedures? Please plan to log in to Zoom at 10:20 am -10 minutes before the tour is to begin. Holly will send attendees the link.
