We are all familiar with the TV ads asking if you or a loved one has been injured due to exposure to a particular substance. This session will explore some of basics and developments in the area of mass toxic torts, including discussion of the seminal mass tort litigation involving Agent Orange; issues concerning the science involved in toxic tort and the elements of exposure and causation; procedural issues in mass torts; and examples of current/future mass torts, e.g., Roundup, PFAS, ultra-processed foods.
