Virtual Decisions: VAWG - VR Launch
About this Event
VD: VAWG Launch
The best way to understand the impact and effectiveness of this Virtual Decisions experience is to try it for yourself.
Virtual Decisions: VAWG is a multi branching virtual reality programme that places participants inside realistic, decision led scenarios. This allows them to navigate situations involving misogyny, coercive control, positive masculinity and healthy relationships, seeing the consequences of their choices play out in real time.
You will have the chance to try the experience first hand and hear directly from the team behind its development and discuss how you can use Virtual Decisions: VAWG within your organisation's working practices.
Developed with academic partners at the University of Birmingham, the programme is evidence based and trauma informed. It is designed to support the aims of the government's new strategy, Freedom from Violence and Abuse: A Cross Government Strategy to Build a Safer Society for Women and Girls, which sets out the ambition to halve violence against women and girls within a decade.
The experience also aligns closely with the ten year plan's focus on prevention and education, and with recent changes to the school curriculum Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2026 statutory guidance around healthy relationships and RSHE.
