Vipassana Meditation Workshop

We will spend time quieting our thoughts, emotions and bodies through periods of sitting and walking meditation on the peaceful, serene grounds at Unity Myrtle Beach.
Meditation gives us a tool to realize an inner peace. We do this not only for ourselves, but for all living beings, everywhere. The world needs us to bring peace and stability to this planet and this only happens when we find the time to quiet our thoughts, emotions, and bodies.
If you have wanted to begin a meditation practice or have desired to spend a longer amount of time in meditation, then this retreat is for you!
Facilitator: Rev. Ed Kosak, Unity Minister, former senior minister at Unity of Charleston, SC; Interfaith Alliance of Charleston; and Vipassana Practitioner. Rev. Ed has practiced Vipassana meditation since 2008 and has led weekly Vipassana meditations while Minister at Unity of Charleston.
Things to know:
• Wear comfortable clothing.
• Bring a shawl/jacket and a pair of socks (we will remove our shoes while sitting).
• Bring your meditation cushion, if you prefer to sit on the floor. (Chairs are provided.)
• Bring your water bottle.
• Consider rain gear as needed, as we may walk outside.
• Refrain from wearing scented perfumes or lotions.
• Cell phone will be collected before the workshop begins.
Retreat Cost: $25 with 100% going to Unity Myrtle Beach
**A Love Offering (Dana) will be accepted at the end of the workshop for the teacher(s) in-line with Buddhist tradition.
Please Pre-Register if possible. There is a sign up sheet at Unity, but please call or email to register if that is more convenient. Cash, check or CC in Unity Office. Venmo and Zelle payments are accepted.
