Meet our hosts

Founding member of 90’s Punk band, The Gits, Steve Moriarty is a Psychotherapist, who employs music in his work with patients and continues to actively record and tour in bands.

Jessica Lawless co-founded Home Alive, a self-defense collective, in the wake of Mia Zapata’s (The Gits) rape and M**der. Cultural Capital Doesn’t Pay the Rent, Jessica’s memoir about surviving domestic violence, the false promises of higher education, and remaining committed to art, healing, and abolition feminist organizing, despite the impossibility of it all, is forthcoming from PM Press.

Dean is an artist, writer, community organizer, and consummate record nerd (former owner of Pressed Coffee & Records). He came up in the 80's NY/NJ punk scene and often says that punk rock saved his life, crediting it as one of the main origins of his radical politics and activism.
