Mark your calendars! t is happening AGAIN!!! We are so excited to present our 5th Vintage Trixie's Curiosity Faire! The Faire will be held on June 10, 2023 from 10am to 6pm at the Holiday Inn located at 5655 Greenwich Road in Virginia Beach. Admission of $5 will be for anybody over 13 and under 13 free! Concessions will be available in the hotel restaurant and a cash bar will be available during the event in the lobby.This is an indoor event like no other featuring a market of all things odd, curious, whimsical, and just plain strange! Shop with local vendors, purveyors of curious experience, and get your photos taken with weird and wonderful showgirls and guys! Check out the Vintage Trixie Sideshow and hear the spectacular music of the award winning band - Rachel and the JellyCats! As our event planning is just beginning - so please check back peridically!
Many of you may be wondering why we changed our venue and date. The City of Chesapeake has decided to do some renovations to the Chesapeake Conference Center which will cause the venue to be closed for 5 months beginning June 1. We tried very hard to secure a date before or after the closure period but it just was not in the cards for us. We chose to move this year's faire to the Holiday Inn and the only date that worked for everyone was June 10th, 2023. We are hoping that our returning vendors will be available!
We are looking for vendors that have a curious and even perhaps a quirky vibe! We will be accepting registrations for artists, crafters, vintage/antique vendors, herbalists, authors, purveyors of curious services (such as psychic readings of various types, body painting, reiki/crystal/massage practitioners, magicians, puppeteers, etc.), cosplayer groups and so on! This event will be carefully curated to produce a specific weird and wonderful experience - therefore some applications may not be accepted because while your items are clearly wonderful they may not be right fit for this type of show.
