Good people of Fort Myers, Florida and surrounding communities,
You are most cordially invited to witness a spirited match of Vintage Base Ball, played according to the customs and rules of 1864, where the gentlemen take the field barehanded and the game is played in the honorable fashion of our forebears.
Taking the field shall be the esteemed Fort Myers Vagabonds, who will contend against the worthy nine known as the Shamrocks/Awkwards in a lively contest of bat and ball.
The match shall commence promptly at 11 o’clock in the morning.
This grand occasion is graciously hosted by the Edison and Ford Winter Estates, whose support helps bring the early game back to life for all to enjoy.
Spectators are encouraged to bring friends and family and to delight in the sights and sounds of base ball as it was played more than a century and a half ago.
Admission:
A $5 donation is kindly requested of adults.
Children 18 and under are admitted free.
