VILLAGES is the indie-rock passion project of Richmond VA-based songwriter Justin Paciocco, brought to life with the support of his closest friends. Since its founding in 2018, VILLAGES has steadily grown into one of Richmond Virginia's most respected acts, regularly selling out local venues by blending emotionally resonant songwriting and a top-shelf supporting cast with genuine, heartfelt performances.

Six years removed from it's self-titled debut album, VILLAGES is set to release a 4 song EP called "X" in winter 2025. The EP is a fresh take on the breakup album: equal parts celebration, mourning, and acceptance. Rather than dwelling in despair, "X" honors the beauty and magic of a short-lived relationship while also acknowledging its inevitable end. The music is raw and immediate, with lyrics that cut deep—filled with vulnerability, reflection, and emotional resonance.

The EP was co-produced and recorded with emerging Virginia engineer/producer Chip Hale, who also plays bass. Guitarist Rich Stine and drummer Corey Marshall round out the sound, while Paciocco contributes guitar, keyboards, and vocals. The songs feature some of the most well-crafted lyrics and melodies Paciocco has ever written, and the music – swirling stacked guitars, melodic bass lines, and carefully composed mellotron/synthesizer/piano hooks – takes the band into uncharted sonic territories that are uniquely their own.
