Welcome to Manchester’s most raucous alternative scratch comedy night. Expect utter nonsense from our talented gaggle of clowns, characters, improvisers, cabaret performers and other local fools as they test out their freshest material and see what survives the village square!

Lawrence Dodd is a London-based alternative comedian and clown whose work blends spontaneity, sensitivity, and a “never-defined but ever-present air of chaos” (The Reviews Hub).
He is a multi award-nominated (Edinburgh Fringe Comedians Choice Award 2026, Bitesize Festival – Best Comedy, Neurodiverse Awards & Brighton Fringe New Writing) and Soho Theatre Labs Plus alumnus (2025), who recently completed his Edinburgh Debut & sold out his debut Soho Theatre show as part of London Clown Festival 2026.
