Come and sing or play some old fashioned Christmas carols!Not a performance or a workshop, just a bunch of people getting together for a good sing in the back room of our favourite local.
Shepherds will awake, watch (probably more than once) and rejoice, and we will be exhorted variously to awake, arise and hark. You may even recognise some of the tunes, and we'll chuck in some more familiar songs as well.
Instruments will be playing each of the vocal lines, so even if you struggle with sight reading you should have something to sing along with.
Carols from the West Gallery tradition (like in Thomas Hardy's "Under the Greenwood Tree"), traditional folk carols and a few well-known standards. Oh, and great beer!
