Rep'd Film Collective is proud to bring together another screen + mix series in the Bay Area alongside our Black Film Circle.

What is Village Bayani? Village Bayani is a community-centered film series that moves from one diasporic village to the next, honoring the heroes of our stories on their own terms. We began with the cinematic offerings of the Filipino community — Bayani, meaning hero in Filipino.

Now we turn the lens toward Black filmmakers and thinkers whose work has long carried culture for all of us.

The screening will showcase compelling works connected to the Black Film Circle, followed by a mixer where you can meet the faces and names behind the scenes on screen. Whether you're a film enthusiast, a member of the Black community, or simply curious about the diversity of the cinema world, this event offers a unique opportunity to connect, reflect, and celebrate together.
