Join us on May 23, 2026 for an immersive living history day at Kendal Museum!
Discover the fascinating world of the Vikings with local reenactment goup Nordan-Jorfors, through live combat reenactments in our downstairs gallery, taking place at intervals throughout the day. Upstairs, explore Viking-age craft workshops and demonstrations, and browse a mini market featuring beautifully handmade goods.
There’s plenty for younger visitors too, including colouring activities, a Rune trail, and lots of hands-on experiences designed to spark curiosity and creativity.
Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply looking for a fun and unique day out, there’s something for everyone. Come and experience the Viking Age like never before - we look forward to welcoming you!
Tickets are available on the door on a first come-first served basis, advance booking is recommended to secure your spot.
Prices are £8 for adults, £4 for kids and under 5s go free! All tickets include entry to the museum valid for 12 months.
Please note that some of our activities will be taking place in our upstairs and downstairs galleries, which are not currently wheelchair accessible.
