You are warmly invited to join the Navarathiri pooja series, which will be held over nine nights from October 3rd to October 11th, followed by the Vijayadashami pooja on the 10th night (October 12th).
Significance of Navarathiri & Vijayadashami
Durga, Lakshmi, and Saraswati represent three aspects of the feminine, symbolizing the earth, sun, and moon, or the qualities of tamas (inertia), rajas (activity, passion), and sattva (knowledge, purity, transcendence), respectively.
Those seeking strength or power worship feminine deities like Mother Earth, Durga, or Kali. Those who desire wealth, passion, or material success honor Lakshmi or the sun. Those who seek knowledge, liberation, or transcendence of the physical body revere Saraswati or the moon.
Frist 3 days of Navarathiri (3, 4, 5 Oct) are dedicated to Durga.
Next 3 days of Navarathiri (6, 7, 8 Oct) are dedicated to Lakshmi.
Final 3 days of Navarathiri (9, 10, 11 Oct) are dedicated to Saraswati.
The tenth day (12 Oct) would be Vijayadashami, the day marks the victory over all three dimensions of life.
