About this Event

At Viisi, we are convinced that if our colleagues are satisfied, our customers will automatically follow; it’s what we call 'People first, Customers Second'. The Viisi Insights Safari allows you to experience how we implement this in a live setting.

People First

We’re not at all afraid of challenging existing HR conventions. In every situation, we ask ourselves why we are doing it. Will it increase the experience of autonomy? Will it promote our team performance? Will it help everyone discover and consolidate their respective talents? If the resulting answer is 'no', then the sacred HR houses will be earmarked for demolition.

In 2016 for example, we bode farewell to the traditional management hierarchy, and since then, we’ve been working in accordance with the Holacracy self-organization model, in which we no longer have fixed job descriptions, but work in autonomous roles.

We have developed a new salary model that aligns with our way of organizing. The starting point is that the theme of salary should be in the background, because only then can the teams freely create roles collectively, and allocate the various tasks. Read more about the Viisi salary model.

During the safari, you will see and hear how we hold meetings according to the holacratic principles. Afterwards, there will be time to discuss various sub-topics, such as rewards and performance management, working in roles, and how we integrate feedback into daily work schedules.

You can attend a tactical meeting of the Marketing Circle within our organization on Monday mornings. Participation is available both digitally and at our head office in Amsterdam.

What is Holacracy?

Holacracy is a management structure for organizations, and a radical departure from the traditional top-down management model, distributing authority among all the employees within the organization. The starting point is that an organization is able to continually adjust due to its dynamic and transparent structure.

This structure is configured as follows: holacratic organizations work with an organic, flat structure of 'circles' (teams). Within this set-op, everyone fulfills their own unique 'roles' with clearly defined responsibilities. As an 'entrepreneur', every employee is fully autonomous within their roles and therefore responsible for their operation.
