Vidfest Expo May 2022 (LIVE In-Person)

Our first LIVE IN-PERSON event since the pandemic where we go back to our roots in Tampa, Florida for a special edition of PodFest called "PodFest Origins!"

WHAT IS PODFEST?

PodFest is a community of people who are interested in and passionate about sharing their voice and message with the world through the powerful mediums of audio and video.

This will be our first hybrid event where there will be a limited edition of in-person passes and virtual passes.

We will have TWO tracks, a podcast track and a video track. We will be featuring the most talented educators across our community.

Chasing a Dream

Podfest was born on August 5th, 2013 at a meetup hosted with 13 attendees. Here are our highlights from that point forward!

In 2014 Chris Krimitsos holds 2 workshops around Podcasting.

2015 1st Official Podfest is held April 24th-26th 100 Attendees.

2016 2nd Podfest Feb 26 & 27th 181 attendees. Podfest Pioneers the Gratitude closing ceremony. The Messengers: A Podcast Documentary starts filming at Podfest 2016.

9/13/2016 The Messengers reaches 123% of Goal raised with $22,152 becoming the 1st Documentary funded by the community for the medium of podcasting.

Feb 23-25th 2017 Podfest Moves to Orlando to help demand from Intl Travelers The Messengers: A Podcast Documentary Premiers to a standing ovation 373 Registered Attendees.

2018 Podfest keeps growing with 496 Attendees.

2019 Podfest March 7-9th, We DOUBLE in size to 975 Attendees and Launch of Vidfest

2020 Podfest doubles in size AGAIN with over 2000 Registered Attendees Last conference to go on prior to shutdowns. Podfest Launches Microcons to rave reviews. Podcast Editor Con, Audio Drama Con, Military Creator Con, and many more niche specific brands for attendees to partake in.

August 2020 PodFest Sets a Guinness World Record for "World's Largest Virtual Podcasting Event in one week" with 5,000+ Attendees and 300+ Speakers

March 2021 PodFest Global brings in 5,800+ attendees and 500+ speakers for another *pending* Guinness World Record.

The Impact

This is a global undertaking that is intended to bring:

Community, Collaboration, and Education to peoples homes the world over.

We believe everyone should have access to the richness of the Podfest community.

We have been helping people since 2013 in this endeavor 8+ years ago.

It all began so long ago with just 13 people.

*PodFest never wants to let money get in the way of people participating. If you're facing hardships, email [email protected] to learn more about our "pay it forward" program that our attendees have generously provided for.*

Refund Policy – There are no pass refunds. For a $50 fee or 25% of ticket price, whichever is less. Passes can be transferred to another person as long as the request is made at least 21 days prior to the event. After that time, there are no transfers or refunds.

We will be video recording and taking virtual photographs at PodFest Origins (as will many of your fellow attendees). Your image may be captured and used at a later time to promote future conferences. Cutting Edge Events, LLC retains the rights to those images.

In the occurence of the event being completely canceled, attendees will have their tickets credited to the next event.
