On Saturday, June 20, Victory Riders Calgary & Friends will gather to honour the memory of our friend, founding member, longtime Treasurer, Life Member, and fellow rider, James Hamling.
James wasn't just one of the people who helped start VRC 15 years ago - he was part of the foundation that built this club. His dedication, wisdom, friendship, and unwavering support helped shape Victory Riders Calgary into what it is today. Even during his battle with cancer, James remained connected to the club he loved, offering advice, encouragement, and counsel whenever he could.
To honor James and his love of riding, we will ride one of his favourite routes to one of his favourite destinations.
📍 Meet Location: Cycle Works Calgary�
🕤 Meet Time: 9:30 AM�
🏍️ Kickstands Up: 10:00 AM sharp�
🛣️ Destination: Bearberry Saloon
We will stop at Bearberry Saloon for lunch. There is no official ride planned after lunch. Riders are welcome to join the group heading back to Calgary or continue their ride as they choose.
The ride will be led by Past President Drifter Don, who will guide us along one of James' favourite routes.
James spent many years at Cycle Works Calgary, where he combined his passion for motorcycles with a successful career. It seems only fitting that we begin this ride there.
