OLV Charities will honor Ron and Liz Jaworski, Founders of the JAWS Youth Playbook; Amy J. Habib, Generational Community Philanthropist and Volunteer; and Nola Marrero, Dynamic Student Leader, at Victory Nite on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the Atrium at Rich’s.Victory Nite celebrates the ministries of OLV’s saintly founder, Venerable Nelson Baker. Today, OLV focuses on being a beacon of hope for the poor, downtrodden, and young, as well as caring for the forgotten of our society through OLV Charities, OLV Human Services, and OLV National Shrine & Basilica.
This year’s recipients represent the values and ministries of Venerable Father Nelson Baker. The following award recipients have influenced numerous lives through their charitable / philanthropic efforts.
Ron “Jaws” & Liz Jaworski, founders of the JAWS Youth Playbook
Lackawanna natives, Ron and Liz Jaworski, have dedicated their lives to giving back through the JAWS Youth Playbook - a nonprofit focused on improving the health and wellness of at-risk youth. Ron - a former quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles and national sportscaster - and his wife, Liz, have positively impacted thousands of children in the Greater Philadelphia region through initiatives that promote nutrition, physical activity, and access to safe play spaces. Their leadership and compassion reflect a deep commitment to building stronger, healthier communities for future generations.
Amy J. Habib, Community Philanthropist, Volunteer, and OLV Ambassador
Amy J. Habib is a devoted community leader and philanthropist who has generously supported countless organizations across Western New York. A fierce advocate for Catholic education, Amy, along with her children, support causes such as Nativity Miguel, the Diocese of Buffalo elementary schools, and Canisius University. She also served on several noteworthy boards such as the National Federation of Just Communities and Petrie Baking Products. Her deep involvement as a proud ambassador of OLV Charities has had a tremendous impact on expanding OLV’s friends and supporters. Her unwavering commitment to giving back to those in need continues to uplift and inspire the community she loves.
Nola Marrero
Nola Marrero - a junior at Mount Mercy Academy - is a dynamic student leader with a passion for service. She has raised funds for school uniforms, collected pajamas for children in Colombia, supported SABAH’s mission for students with disabilities, and actively participated in more than a dozen school clubs while organizing events that foster inclusion and service. Nola’s heart for service and commitment – at organizations like Cradle Beach - uplift others and embody the spirit of Father Baker.
