Description: For a “secret society”, Ordo Templi Orientis, “the O.T.O.”, is surprisingly open; to see that for yourself, you could visit the Bay Area’s local O.T.O. body, Blazing Star Oasis. Or you could ask Vicky during this talk at the Adocentyn Research Library. What is the O.T.O.? What work do we do? What does Blazing Star Oasis have to offer? In particular, what do we have to offer you? The O.T.O. nearly became extinct after Aleister Crowley’s death in 1947, but came roaring back to life in the 1970s. Not dead at all, it evolved rapidly into a spiritual, initiatory, and teaching Order with a solid worldwide presence, built upon precepts given in its central text, The Book of the Law. This talk offers one woman’s personal perspective on the O.T.O.: how she found a community within it that she could truly call “hers”, and how following its initiatory and spiritual paths affected her life.

About the Speaker: Vicky Stuart has been a member of O.T.O. USA since 2008. There, she is a chartered initiator, the U.S.G.L. Quartermaster, an ordained Priestess of Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica, and the High Priestess of Alpha Chapter of Rose Croix. Vicky is also a retired software engineer and yes, still uses hotmail.
