This workshop will explore portraiture through vibrant paint application and patterns. Beginner painters are welcome!
Where:
This class will be indoors in our Dining Hall in the main Harwood Art Center Building. 1114 7th St NW 87102
Age / Skill Level:
Teens (15-19) and adults (20 and up). Suitable for beginners, practicing artists, and
educators.
Schedule:
Saturday November 7th: 10am-4pm
Sunday November 8th: 10am-4pm
*There will be a scheduled break in halfway through the session

Supply List
Brushes (various sizes)
Acrylic paints: (preferably liquitex)
Titanium white
Cobalt blue
Cadmium yellow medium
Cadmium yellow light
Ultramarine blue
Cadmium red light
Cadmium red medium
Pthalo green
Raw sienna
Burnt sienna
Naples yellow
Violet
Mars black
Jar for water/brushes
Palette paper or wax paper
Painters tape
Additional optional materials:
Posca markers in various colors
Liquitex paints in various colors
Mixing mediums such as flow aid or gel medium (preferably satin finish)
About the Teaching Artist:
Kelsey Kilcrease is an artist who’s primary focus is painting, with work ranging from digital illustrations to large scale murals. Her work is a celebration of the rich diversity of the Southwest, with a particular emphasis on family and identity.
