Vibrance Retreat: Embodied Emotions - Exploring Nava Rasa
Fall is a season of transition, a time of change. It’s an invitation to begin a seasonal journey inward to the center of our being where we can pause to reflect on the unfolding of our lives. A space where we can uncover a quiet sense of flow, energy, and clarity. This quality of inner connection and embodiment leads us to the theme of our retreat: Vibrance - Embodied Emotions - Exploring Nava Rasa.
Embodied emotions can be described as the process of understanding, feeling, and connecting to our emotions so deeply that all the different parts come together and live in harmony or shanta - this place of perfect peace that exists within each of us. It is the process of acknowledgement without attachment that begins with a breath, an idea, a moment–a process that moves through each of us, radiating outward as we deepen into ourselves. As we move through and integrate each iteration of our emotions the deeper we can connect to the essence of who we are at our core.
This weekend retreat invites you to connect with yourself through the process of embracing your emotions and the intelligence they have to share—the natural ebb of flow of the dance we do with life.
The Vibrance fall retreat is all about reflection and integration–about nurturing your energy and your spirit.
You will be nourished by nature, community, alone time, and seasonal, organic, vegetarian meals prepared by our hosts at Big Raven Farm.
You’ll have opportunities to participate in guided practices including gentle yoga, meditation, and group activities designed to gently foster the flame within, moving you into a more profound connection with yourself and the radiant light within.
Come as you are, ready to restore, explore, and awaken.
Leave refreshed, rejuvenated, and connected to your deeper self.

THE EXPERIENCE:
Your weekend begins with receiving a beautiful bag of nurturing gifts, giving you everything you need to support you on this weekend home to yourself. The swag bag of all swag bags!
You’ll be welcomed by the autumn colors of trees surrounding the farm. The retreat opens with a powerful grounding ceremony, inviting you to transition out of “busy” into “being.”
In the next two days, you will have opportunities to participate in morning and evening movement (vinyasa, hatha, yin, restorative yoga) and meditation practices, experiential workshops, creative expression, and inspirational dialogues. These are all optional and available to support your process.
You will receive nourishing meals prepared lovingly by our hosts at Big Raven Farm.
Throughout the weekend, there will be opportunities to connect with others in community, as well as time to be alone in your own reflective space. You will have plenty of downtime to explore the wooded grounds and walking trails where you can take in the beautiful fall colors, or to simply rest by the fireplace in the lodge, which is reserved exclusively for our retreat group.
All is welcome. All is okay. It is at your discretion how you would like to use your time.
Jessica will be available for one-on-one supportive dialogues to help process experiences as they arise for you.
The retreat closes Sunday with a closing ceremony and nourishing lunch to ground your experience into the heart and carry it back with you into the world.
THE PLACE:
You will be staying at beautiful Big Raven Farm, a 15-acre retreat center in the heart of the Driftless region, where Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa meet.
Featuring 6 guest rooms that sleep 14+, a 1200 square foot event center and yoga studio, an 800 square foot ballroom that accommodates 60, a commercial kitchen, and a 2-mile walking trail, we are conveniently located only 2½ hours from Minneapolis-St. Paul, Madison, and Dubuque. Any dietary needs or restrictions can be accommodated.
Room selection is on a first-come, first-served basis. Rooms are double occupancy, with the exception of one quad, which sleeps four.
The space itself allows for gathering in community, resting in solitude, connecting with nature, and everything in between!
