Join us for this briefing from Peter Scott of the Centre for AI in Canadian Learning.
What are the top issues facing secondary education, and what are the threats to students’ learning? What’s really happening to their job prospects, and what can parents and employers do about it?
This session will be grounded in experience both local and international with high schools and what’s happening with issues like homework, risks vs benefits of AI for learning and retention, and career paths. We’ll look at where the latest research offers some solutions, and questions you should ask schools.

About the Presenter:
Peter Scott is the founder of the Centre for AI in Canadian Learning, helping schools adapt to and leverage the impact of AI on education. He’s been teaching AI literacy classes at UVic and SFU since 2018, has given three TEDx talks, and has hosted world-renowned guests on the weekly podcast “AI and You” since 2020.
