ℹ️ Na účasť na prednáškovo-performatívnom podujatí a prezentácii knihy nie je potrebná registrácia.
Viac ako dvadsať rokov tranzitu je príležitosťou osláviť dlhodobú prax spolupráce, výmeny a solidarity v rámci strednej a východnej Európy. Aktivita, ktorá sa začala rozvíjaním nezávislých umeleckých iniciatív, prerástla do siete tranzit.org, ktorá spája tranzit at (Rakúsko), tranzit cz (Česká republika), tranzit hu (Maďarsko), tranzit ro v Iași, Bukurešti a Kluži (Rumunsko) a tranzit sk (Slovensko).
Pri príležitosti tohto výročia vás pozývame na večer, ktorý spája umelecký kontakt s jeho archívom a uvedenie knihy tranzit 20+. Namiesto toho, aby sme sa na minulosť pozerali ako na uzavretú históriu, program otvára otázky o tom, ako môžu archívy, umelecké postupy, publikácie a siete vytvárať priestory pre dialóg, odpor a nové formy solidarity.
✴︎ Norbert Kuki: VAKER/SPEAK /prednáška-performancia/
VAKER/SPEAK je rozpracované dielo, ktoré rómsky umelec Norbert Kuki rozvíja prostredníctvom svojho výskumu projektov súvisiacich s rómskou kultúrou v archíve tranzit.sk. Pri návrate do archívu Kuki nanovo prehodnocuje myšlienky projektu NADIKHUNO MUZEUMOS, pričom jeho naratívy vsádza do nových vzťahov a zamýšľa sa nad tým, čo odhaľujú, čo nechávajú nedoriešené alebo čo umožňujú, keď ich čítame cez prizmu prežívanej skúsenosti.
Vychádzajúc zo svojho konceptu „rómskej skúsenosti“ – rozmanitej a neustále sa vyvíjajúcej prežívanej reality ľudí rómskeho pôvodu – Kuki pracuje s rozprávaním príbehov a mikrohistóriami, pričom do konverzácie vnáša každodenné skúsenosti, humor, vzťahy a sociálne reality.
Performatívna prednáška reflektuje rómsku identitu a komunitu, význam národa v rámci rómskej kultúry a otázku, či národ zahŕňa aj Rómov, ako aj miesto odporu, neposlušnosti, a sebainterpretácie v archíve.
✴︎ Môže byť kniha chápaná ako priestorová prax?
Uvedenie knihy tranzit 20+
Kniha tranzit 20+ odráža viac ako dve desaťročia siete tranzit.org, pričom spája rôzne hlasy, skúsenosti a formy praxe. Zaoberá sa experimentmi, partnerstvami, metódami a formami vzájomnej podpory, ktoré udržiavali nezávislé umelecké praxe pri živote v priebehu meniacich sa politických kontextov, a zároveň sa zamýšľa nad prítomnosťou a budúcnosťou siete.
Pri uvedení knihy v Bratislave budú redaktorky Flóra Gadó a Borbála Soós spolu s riaditeľkou tranzit sk Judit Angel diskutovať o publikácii z pohľadu toho, ako sa kniha môže stať komplexnou priestorovou a intersekcionálnou feministickou praxou – nielen prostredníctvom svojho nelineárneho naratívu a mnohohlasnosti, ale aj prostredníctvom priestorov, ktoré vytvára. Tie môžu byť miestami odporu, odolnosti, zraniteľnosti a premeny, ktoré nám pomáhajú posunúť sa za hranice rigidného a binárneho myslenia.
V nadväznosti na témy festivalu, ktorý sa koná v tranzit sk, bude súčasťou uvedenia aj performatívne čítanie úryvkov zameraných na marginalizované komunity, viac-než-ľudské naratívy a budovanie komunít prostredníctvom sietí. Prizvaní prispievatelia a prispievateľky do publikácie a členovia a členky publika budú mať možnosť zapojiť sa do čítania spolu so zástupcami a zástupkyňami tranzit.org a ERSTE Foundation.

More than twenty years of tranzit is an occasion to celebrate a long-term practice of cooperation, exchange and solidarity across Central and Eastern Europe. What began through the development of independent art initiatives has grown into the tranzit.org network, connecting tranzit at (Austria), tranzit cz (Czech Republic), tranzit hu (Hungary), tranzit ro in Iași, Bucharest and Cluj (Romania), and tranzit sk (Slovakia).
For this anniversary, we invite you to an evening that brings together an artistic engagement with its archive and the launch of the tranzit 20+ book. Rather than looking back at the past as a closed history, the programme opens questions about how archives, artistic practices, publications and networks can create spaces for dialogue, resistance and new forms of solidarity.
✴︎ Norbert Kuki: VAKER / SPEAK
Lecture-performance
VAKER / SPEAK is a work in progress developed by Roma artist Norbert Kuki through his research into projects related to Roma culture in the tranzit.sk archive. Returning to the archive, Kuki revisits the ideas of NADIKHUNO MUZEUMOS bringing its narratives into new relations and considering what they reveal, leave unresolved, or make possible when read through lived experience.
Drawing on his notion of the “Roma Experience” - the diverse and constantly evolving lived reality of people of Roma descent - Kuki works with storytelling and micro-histories, bringing everyday experiences, humour, relationships and social realities into the conversation.
The performative lecture reflects on Roma identity and community, the meaning of the nation within Romani culture and whether the nation includes Roma, as well as the place of resistance, disobedience, and self-interpretation in the archive.
✴︎ Can a book be understood as a spatial practice?
Launch of the tranzit 20+ book
The tranzit 20+ book reflects on more than two decades of the tranzit.org network, bringing together different voices, experiences and forms of practice. It looks at the experiments, partnerships, methods and forms of mutual support that have sustained independent art practices through changing political contexts, while also considering the network’s present and future.
For the book launch in Bratislava, editors Flóra Gadó and Borbála Soós, together with tranzit sk director Judit Angel, will discuss the publication from the perspective of how a book can become a complex spatial and intersectional feminist practice—not only through its non-linear narrative and multivocality, but also through the kinds of spaces it creates. These can be sites of resistance, resilience, vulnerability and transformation that help move us beyond rigid and binary thinking.
Connecting to the themes of the festival taking place at tranzit sk, the launch will also include a performative reading of excerpts addressing marginalised communities, more-than-human narratives and community building through networks. Invited contributors to the book and members of the audience will have the chance to join the reading, alongside representatives of tranzit.org and ERSTE Foundation.
