Join the VI Mid-Island Group for an unstructured get-together on Newcastle Island on September 13. Catch up and socialize with fellow sailors. Newcomers and all sailors are welcome to join us for the day. We are inviting Nanaimo Yacht Club members to join us in this event.

A mid-day BBQ will start around noon. But come early and stay late! Bring something to BBQ, your own beverages, cup and glass, and a side-dish to share. We’ll provide disposable dishes, cutlery, napkins, paper towels and DESSERT! We will also have bbq tools and spray. We have the space for the whole day, but you could extend the BURP for as long as you choose on your own.
Arrive by boat, dingy or ferry (runs from 9:00 am to 4:45 pm). Come for the day or the weekend. If some of your crew are interested in camping, contact: http://newcastleisland.ca or phone 1-866-788-6243
Mooring balls may be available for a fee. Anchoring is permitted. There may be space at the dock (on a first come basis). Free for the day but charges for overnight stays
Alcohol may be consumed in the BBQ area or in your campsite or on your boat, but not elsewhere in the park.
NOTE: Bikes are permitted in the park but NOT ELECTRIC BIKES.
