From VFW VA District 2 Commander Troy Wagers:(Original message edited for clarity)
Based on the message below received from the VB Mayor's Committee for Veterans, I would like to invite everyone to join us to tour the Moving Vietnam Wall at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. The wall be on display there Nov. 7th-11th, from 8am-8pm. VFW VA District 2 is going to meet there on Sunday, Nov 9th, at 1300 hours, to visit the memorial and perform a wreath laying session.
If anyone would like to lay a wreath while there, please let me know so I can arrange it. This is a great way to show Unity in the VFW and District 2. It would be great for us to lay down 10 Wreaths, one from each Post in District 2. Our District 1 Posts are also invited to attend. This will be an exciting time.
If anyone has any questions please ask, I don't know much more about the Wall's visit, but I will do what I can to find out.

Here is the original request from the VB Mayor's Committee for Veterans. If you are a member of another veterans' organization, please pass this information along to the organization's leadership:
1. Vietnam Moving Wall Wreath Laying: Virgil Hart, Chairman, VB Mayor's Committee for Veterans, is soliciting organizations to do a wreath laying at the Moving Wall. One hour time blocks can be reserved for your organization to conduct its own ceremony and lay a wreath. The times are listed in the attached document. He also needs docents to man the venue to assist visitors. One hour or more time periods can be chosen to meet the needs of your VSO. You may consider doing a wreath laying and the docent duty simultaneously during a specific time block.
I would strongly encourage all of your organizations to sign up for a wreath laying and docent time slot. As veterans, we need to be the ones on the front line to support this magnificent event. It's our duty to do so. This is an incredible opportunity for VSO's to serve and to memorialize. We all need to pitch in to cover the time periods that the venue is open to the public. Let's come together and do it.
