VFTP's 2026 Season Kickoff
Come join us for the 2026 Season Kickoff event at Riley Park Community Garden! This is an annual event celebrating food security, food waste reduction & community building. We’ll have some live music, snacks and a make your own VFTP button-making station!
A great opportunity for existing, new and interested community members to connect and learn more about the organization as well as local fruit. Come say hi.
This event also acts as a Fundraiser so we can carry out our operations for this upcoming fruit season. We will be accepting donations as well as selling tickets available for purchase for our door prizes (some really good ones this year!)*.
What to expect at our Seaosn Kick Off :
- Make your own VFTP Pin/Button
- Music TBD
- Opportunity to meet with those involved with the project including board members, staff and superstar volunteers!
- Connect with like-minded people
- Snacks provided by City Reach care Society, Cookies provided by Sweet Thea Bakery & N/A Beers provided by Nonny.
- Door prize tickers will be sold for :

Accessibility: This an an outdoor event, there is a path that is accessible for scooters and chairs that connects to the gathering space. The parking lot to the east of the park has accessible parking permit spaces.
We will have masks and earplugs available to hand out.
