VFS’s industry-leading program trains makeup artists in a full-immersion studio environment to tell stories through production makeup – all in just 12 months. Learn how VFS trains you hands-on and helps you craft a powerful production portfolio that gets you ready FASTER for the industry and the Creator Economy, working alongside an alumni that’s credited on Backrooms, The Boys, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and FC26, and has won Emmys for Shōgun and Palm Royale.

EXPERIENCE LIVE PROSTHETIC TRANSFORMATIONS

Watch in real-time throughout the event as VFS Makeup Artists apply two very different prosthetic looks to their subjects and get a detailed look at the products they’re using. The big reveal happens at the end of the day. Witness two spectacular transformations into Frankenstein and the Bride – just in time for Halloween!

PRODUCTION MAKEUP SHOW & TELL

VFS’s Makeup department will “show & tell” the prosthetics, life casts, molds, masks, wigs, hairpieces, etc. that you'll use in the program, allowing you to take a close look at a variety of industry-standard tools the professionals use. You’ll also take a look at the official VFS Makeup Kit – your essential starter kit that you receive as part of your tuition on Day 1 at VFS.

YOUR 1-ON-1 PORTFOLIO REVIEW

Review your work VFS faculty to see if you meet the portfolio requirements for our 1-year Makeup Design program. This is completely optional, and very limited spots are available (select this option during checkout). If you are registering for a portfolio review, please ensure you bring, and are ready to discuss, your work – anything on your phone or in a physical portfolio that illustrates your passion for production makeup.
