On Wednesday, August 5, the Nebraska Humane Society will be opening adoptions an hour early (11 a.m.) for military veterans in Nebraska, along with individuals ages 55+, to adopt. The Vets Get Pets program from the Department of Veterans' Affairs disburses up to $350 to cover a veteran's pet adoption fees.
No registration is necessary! Just bring yourself and an ID to 8929 Fort Street. See you at 11 a.m.!
