Veteran’s Book Month: Orchestrating Power
About this Event
Celebrate National Veterans and Families Month with four events focused on veteran authors and stories about veterans that shed light on the military and veteran experience. This event is open to the public.
The fourth Sunday in this speaker series features Colonel Nate Finney and his book, “Orchestrating Power: The American Associational State in the First World War.” Orchestrating Power takes a close look at the federal government and military expansion to support World War I, and how local politics shaped the nation’s military buildup. In this talk, Nate will discuss how politics determined who would serve during the war and how politics of the time shaped the veteran experience.
