We’re excited to announce registration is open for the 3rd Annual Veterans IN Farming State Meeting 2026, a full-day event for veterans, caregivers, and anyone interested in small-scale farming. What to Expect:
Morning Classes: Short presentations (under an hour) covering a wide range of topics.
Afternoon Workshops: Longer, hands-on sessions to dive deeper into highly requested topics.
Session Examples:
Forest & Woodlot Management: Sustainable timber and woodland stewardship
Beginning Beekeeping: Starting hives and honey production
Selling Flowers: Grow, market, and sell cut flowers profitably
Gardening Small Spaces: Maximize yields in gardens under an acre
Resilient & Profitable Animals: Livestock management for cattle, sheep, hogs, and poultry
USDA/NRCS Resources: Programs for beginning veteran farmers
SARE Resources: Sustainable agriculture grants and technical assistance
Grant & Business Planning: Build strong grant applications or farm business plans
Regenerative Farming: Practices to improve soil, water, and farm resilience
Veteran Panel: Learn from experiences of fellow veteran farmers
AgrAbility Resources: Farm adaptations for physical challenges
Food Preservation Taste Test: Hands-on pickling, freezing, and canning
Registration Details:
Scholarships: Veterans and caregivers attend for just $20 (includes meals, classes/workshops, and expo).
Standard Non-Veteran Registration: $120, covering meals and full event access.
Youth: Under 16 are free (please RSVP for meal planning).
Accommodation:
Book your stay at the onsite hotel using the event discount. Discount code ends March 6, 2026. Attendees are responsible for accommodations.
