Veterans Day Celebration
Join us this Veterans Day as we honor those who served!
The Placer County Veterans Monument (PCVM) welcomes featured speaker Col. Joseph Anthony Peterburs, U.S. Air Force (Ret.), a WWII hero and P-51 Mustang pilot.
📅 November 11, 2026
📍 McBean Park, Lincoln, CA
Bring your family and friends for a celebration of service, courage, and community. Let’s come together to thank our veterans and hear from a member of the Greatest Generation.
Panel #9 will be unveiled on November 11, 2026 Veterans Day at 11:11am at the Veterans Day Ceremony located in McBean Park, 65 McBean Parkway in Lincoln, CA. Please plan to attend this year and in the future. The Lincoln Mayor Richard Pearl will welcome you. Then PC Supervisor Suzanne Jones, and CA Assemblyman Joe Patterson will speak year. The program also includes: Patriotic music, a 21-gun salute, a bagpiper, a great vocalist, bunting all around, fire trucks, and a flyover. The ceremonies are very patriotic, emotional, spiritual and inspirational. Try to arrive 30 to 45 minutes early. Normally 700 or more attend the event.
Col. Joe Peterburs, a 102-year-old Roseville resident, will speak at this year's Veterans Day ceremony. He was a WWII P-51 fighter pilot who flew 49 missions and shot down a jet during one of them. There is more to the story. He also served in Korea and Vietnam.
Seating for 400 will be provided, so you may want to bring a chair. We anticipate over 1,000 will attend this year.
