The Veteran of the Month and Flag Raising Ceremony program honors a deceased Veteran the first Sunday of the month at the American Legion Post 12, 60 County St. Norwalk at 11a.Free parking and free admission.
The Veteran need not be a member of the Legion or any veteran organization. To honor a veteran, submit the following form: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oDwEjnefKrBPh2R9PYpgupFpPWucle6G/view
The family of the honoree attends the ceremony on the first Sunday of
the Month and then returns the following month on the first Sunday to
be presented the flag that flew for that month.
This is one of our cornerstone events each year and directly relates to the four pillars of the American Legion: Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth.
