VET TALK - SURVIVAL SEMINAR : SUICIDE PREVENTION

This four hour suicide prevention seminar is free to any member of the public interested in learning techniques to Question, Persuade, and Refer any person that may be suffering from a mental crisis. This class will equip the student with a certificate of completion in QPR suicide prevention. QPR techniques will allow you to recognize another individual in mental crisis and respond by Questioning the current state of mind, Persuade the individual to seek help, and Refer the individual to the proper help needed. This seminar is also a requirement to become a member of our Fire Team Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network. Fire Team Tennessee is a community based suicide prevention network presented by Rocky Top Veterans Foundation and focused on ways to slow down the rate of veteran suicide.
