For the month of January we are exhibiting the art of Jovon Bright! And since the first Friday of the month is so close to new years, we are having the art opening on the second Friday of the month! Join us Friday, January 10! at 8PM for the art opening reception!
Light snacks, wine, and non alcoholic drinks will be provided! Come for the free wine, stay for the incredible queer art!
ARTIST STATEMENT
"The Intentionality of human involvement is the capital that invests in human connection. The strength of human connection will be generational. In the end, and there will be an end, we are appraised by what we leave behind. In this art series I work with myself and others who values the creative process, lived experience and story telling. Themes of self-indulgence, the existential, the organic and artificial"
Artist Bio:
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Jovon is a Same gender attracted man living in the California bay area for over 16 years. Pronouns are He/Him, but also Yours/Truly for the right people. I am a mixed media artist that utilizes significant human control and intentionality in my work. The visceral, fantasy, sexuality, and novelty is part of most of my work.

Accessibility: There are no stairs to enter the lobby level at Strut from the street level. The building has three floors, and there is a stairwell with handrails and a wheelchair-accessible elevator. There are 26 steps from the lobby to the 2nd floor and 48 steps from the lobby to the 3rd floor. All our bathrooms are gender neutral and we have restrooms that are accessible to people who use wheelchairs
