This is training for the manual vertical mill at the Manchester Makerspace. It covers the following:

• Safe operation
• How to lubricate the machine
• Checking machine alignment
• Part fixturing
• Locating part
• Milling
• Facing
• Drilling
• Cleanup

Safety requires no shorts, open toe shoes, or loose clothing and a means to tie long hair back.

This training is a prerequisite for the CNC mill class.

This class includes 1 month membership at the Manchester Makerspace so you can practice use of the mill and see whatelse the space has to offer!
