About this Event

We invite you to a profound and thought-provoking seminar delivered by the Shaykh Asim Khan. This seminar will explore the tafsir (interpretation) and meaning of various verses from the Quran that have been discovered amidst the rubble of Gaza—fragments of sacred pages that have remarkably survived the recent devastation.

Shaykh Asim Khan is a respected scholar with a deep commitment to Islamic education and community support. He has studied under prominent scholars and is a Hafiz of the Qur'an, contributing to his ability to convey complex theological concepts in an accessible manner.

In this seminar, we will explore the significance of these Quranic verses found in Gaza, reflecting on their meanings and relevance in the context of suffering, resilience, and hope. Participants will gain insight into how the enduring message of the Quran serves as a source of comfort and strength in times of hardship.

Key Learning Objectives:

  1. Understanding the Fragments: Learn about the historical context and significance of the Quranic fragments found in Gaza, and how they represent the resilience of faith amidst destruction.
  2. Tafsir and Interpretation: Delve into the tafsir of the specific verses discovered, exploring their meanings and the lessons they impart regarding patience, perseverance, and reliance on Allah.
  3. Spiritual Reflection: Reflect on how the messages contained within these verses can provide spiritual solace and guidance for individuals facing adversity in their personal lives and communities.
  4. Connecting with Current Events: Understand the broader implications of these verses in relation to the ongoing struggles faced by the people of Gaza and the importance of empathy and support within the global Muslim community.
  5. Fostering Resilience Through Faith: Discuss ways to integrate the teachings from these verses into our lives, promoting a culture of resilience, hope, and solidarity among Muslims worldwide.

*** IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLEASE READ ***

Seating is on a first come first served basis. As this is a free event, we will need to register more attendees than we can acutally seat in the venue. The reason we need to do this is because at least 2/3 of the people who register to attend free Islamic seminars and events usually drop out and don't attend on the day. If you want to ensure you have a seat at the event, we strongly advise that you turn up on time. Once the venue has reached maximum capacity we will not be able to let you enter, even if you have family or friends inside already.

Food And Refreshments: You are welcome to bring your own food, snacks and drink with you, we will also try to have some available for purchase but can not gaurantee this.

Fundraising: This event is being organised by the charity ILM (International Learning Movement) in order to support the work they do around the world there will be a short fundraising segment.
