Four poets, one city, endless inspiration. Includes exclusive screenings of award-winning poetry shorts “tethered” and “Welcome to the Tenderloin”.


Poets:

  • James J. Siegel
    James J. Siegel is a Pushcart-nominated poet and author of the poetry collections “The God of San Francisco” (Sibling Rivalry Press) and “How Ghosts Travel.” He is the host and curator of the monthly Literary Speakeasy show at Martuni’s piano bar in San Francisco, which has been running for over 10 years. His poems have been featured in several journals and anthologies, including Foglifter, the Cortland Review, Borderlands: Texas Poetry Review, HIV Here & Now, Divining Divas: 100 Gay Men On Their Muses, and more.
  • Rhea Joseph 
    Rhea Joseph is a poet, curator, event producer, and emerging dancer who comes from a family of artists and entrepreneurs. She finds power through community and is one of the stewards of Decentered Arts, a non-profit dedicated to building community through art of all mediums. Rhea is currently working on her first book of poems.
  • James Morehead
    James Morehead is the Poet Laureate Emeritus of Dublin, California, hosts the Viewless Wings Poetry Podcast, and is the author of several collections, including "The Plague Doctor." He has produced three poetry films, including “tethered,” an award-winning animated short. His poem “gallery” was set to music for baritone and piano, and his work has appeared in multiple publications. He has performed nationally, including Patagonia's Poet Laureate Celebration, NPR’s Poetically Yours, and the Annual Haiku Festival.
  • Jessica Kie McCallum (book)
    Jess McCallum writes at the intersection of worlds. She is a mechanical engineer and life-long creative who enjoys poetry, hip-hop freestyle shuffling, junk-journaling, sketching, jewelry smithing, and singing. Born in SoCal, Jess has spent over the last decade in the Bay Area exploring clarity of expression as she connects to her African-American and Chinese-Indonesian identity.
