“Blue Tapestry” celebrates in songs and stories two iconic albums Joni Mitchell’s “Blue” and Carole King’s “Tapestry”. Two of the most successful albums of the 1970’s which put women center-stage as both composers and performers and introduced the era of the singer-songwriter. Award-winning vocal and guitar duo VERONNEAU reimagine the classic songs of these albums such as Case of You, Blue, You’ve Got A Friend, So Far Away, California and You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman and present the stories behind the songs in the context of the post-Woodstock era.Quebecoise vocalist Lynn Veronneau and UK guitarist Ken Avis tour in Europe, the US and Canada, presenting the music of their albums which have featured in the US Top 10 charts for world, jazz and folk music. Their original songs have featured in films and have been song contest winners. They have seven WAMMIE Awards under their belts in the Best Album, Vocals, Band, & Recording categories. and have more than a million Spotify streams of their version of the French classic La Mer.
