About this Event
Vermicomposting is where you take organic material and turn it into nutrient-rich soil using worms. Learn about this fairly easy, waste-saving method of composting. It doesn’t take much space and you can keep your worm farm in a warm, unfinished basement room or heated garage. Work is minimal and feeding can be sporadic (yes, you can leave them and go on vacation). Extracting the rich soil is done about twice a year and this "vermicompost" can be a great amendment in your garden.
This class is IN-PERSON and space is limited. A small amount of vermicomposting worms will be given to the first 15 registrants or as supplies allow. The instructor is Colorado Master Gardener, Barb Valenti.
