After their celebrated appearance at Expo 2020, the company returns with one of opera’s greatest works, reimagined with striking originality. Alexandrov’s Rigoletto transforms the jester from the familiar hunchback into a sharp, cunning figure whose torment lies hidden behind his courtly disguise - a haunting portrayal of cruelty, corruption, and vulnerability.

Founded in 1987, the St. Petersburg Opera has become one of Russia’s leading companies, admired across Europe for its richly costumed productions and exceptional singers.
