I don’t know about y’all, but this slam season is literally soaring by!Join us November 6th for our 4th poetry slam qualifier of the season!
Doors open at 6:30
Slam starts PROMPTLY at 7:30
$10 to attend

The rules for this slam and for the season are as follows:
All slams will have 3 rounds
Poems have to be 3 minutes with a 10 second grace period. For every 10 seconds a poet goes over, .5 will be deducted.
Scoring will be cumulative
No props, costumes or music accompaniment.
The cut for each round depends on the amount of slammers!
We want to encourage the poets to get there early as our list fills up fast!
We are doing things differently with a point system. These are the potential points a poet can accumulate this season:
Signing up to be the sacrificial poet 1 PT
Signing up to slam 1 PT
Making it to the next round(s) 1 PT
4th place 2 PTS
3rd place 3 PTS
2nd place 4 PTS
1st place 5 PTS
Poets!!! You have this slam and December’s slam to accumulate points!!! There’s still time to qualify for the grand slam!
We will take the top 12 poets at the end of the season to compete at our grand slam finals on Jan 8th at Scandals Live! From there, the top 4 poets will make up our travel team who will compete at the 2025 Southern Fried Poetry Slam in Knoxville, TN!
As always we need poets, judges and spectators for every slam! Let’s pack the house for night three ! If you’ve never seen a poetry slam before, YOU ARE IN FOR A TREAT! See ya then!
