The Work
- Pack, transport and properly dispose of waste materials
- Load, secure and unload materials at customer and Veolia locations
- Prepare and load the truck with necessary supplies
- Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate records
- Perform documented pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Plan routes based on customer needs and follow routing software
- Follow DOT guidelines and all applicable safety regulations
- Provide reliable customer service and communicate with managers and dispatchers
This position requires up to four overnights and some weekend work.
Qualifications
- Hazmat endorsement
- At least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend and walk for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of Windows-based software
- Willingness to wear company-provided personal protective equipment
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test and DEA background check
- A valid TWIC card, at least one year of route-driving experience and knowledge of hazardous materials and OSHA regulations are preferred.
