Venus Flytrap Speed Dating: For LGBTQIA+ Women, Trans & Non-Binary People

Join us in the very beautiful and unusual setting of plant store & cafe Ivy and the Wolf, situated in the heart of Crystal Palace - very close to the overground, for those of you who feel SE London is a world away!

We are opening up the store for our very first speed dating event, specifically for LGBTQIA+ women, trans and non binary people. You can expect around 20 guests, complimentary drinks, and a live acoustic performance from @Junodef.

Come alone or grab a friend - either way, we’ll make sure you feel welcome, get the drinks started and everyone seated. We'll then kick off the series of 5 minute dates! (making sure everyone gets the chance to talk to everyone).

At the end of the evening, we can chill and watch a special performance from the band, whilst guests can write down the names of anyone they'd like to see again. After the event, we’ll share details with those who matched only, and leave the rest up to you!

A portion of all proceeds will go to The Outside Project

NOTE: We've set a rough age range of 25 - 38, but this is just a guide!

Meet Your Hosts

After opening plant store & cafe Ivy and the Wolf in 2018, Sanne has curated a wonderful selection of awesome plants & homewares, and regularly hosts evening events such as Terrarium, Kokedama and Ring Making workshops.

Lola Blackheart is a body & sex positive illustrator, as well as Head of Events for a motion design agency. She was the creator and host of motorcycle speed dating night 'Single Cylinders', and dating app talk show 'The Swipe Hype', and continues to create events that bring people together in cool and alternative settings.
