Ventura River Estuary is where our river meets the ocean. Closest area to park is last parking lot at Surfer's Pt, Shoreline Drive. $10 pkg lot fee starts at 7am. Free street parking is only 24 min. green curb. Enter last parking lot, and continue even further on little dirt road to more parking, as far as you can go. Right there are great sand dunes with a small boardwalk. Further along where the bike path curves north toward Ojai, you'll find the mouth of the Ventura river and more great topics to paint: birds, water, trees & hills in the distance.
Come whatever time you can make it. Just bring a sketchbook and a chair if painting seems too much. Looking forward to meeting you! - Laura
