About this Event
Have you ever wanted to talk to yourself (impressively - not in a worrying way)?
Ever wanted to learn to throw your voice, say the words Peter Piper without moving your lips (try it), or create a puppet character?
Lachlan Werner ("funniest new ventriloquist on the block" – Telegraph) will be your beginners' guide to ventriloquism in this in person asterclass. Using vocal exercises and giving insight into years of practice, you will leave ready to play and enter a childlike, silly but technically impressive world of ventriloquism.
This session will cover:
- Voice warm-ups (specific to ventriloquism and stage)
- Learning the ventriloquist alphabet
- Basic 'muppetry' skills
- Character building (for people AND puppets)
- Character separation
- Simple tricks and voice throwing
