About this Event
Join this fun and engaging 3-week experience to create a one-of-a-kind Venetian mask.
Learn the step by step process of recycling paper into a mask molded perfectly to its wearer. Mixing contemporary materials with traditional mask making processes developed in Venice, Italy; this 3 week class will take you through the stages of crafting a custom visage. From the cultivation of raw materials, to sculpting and decorating a completed piece this course will end with a completed mask ready for your next masquerade or wall decor.

Wednesday nights in January. 7-9 PM
This is a weekly class with 3 sessions. Your ticket grants you access to:

That to Bring
- We suggest wearing some clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a little dirty. Sometimes the clay can splash around and get things messy.
- All clay and tools will be provided. Just come ready to learn.
Beginner Friendly
This class is beginner friendly and our amazing teacher will get you started from scratch. All the tools and materials are provided.
About the Teacher
Gar Bodnar
Gar Bodnar is a Chicago based multimedia artist, curator and Art Historian. Their illustrative work utilizes ancient art practices to express contemporary themes exploring intersectionality of symbolism across cultures and time.
