Tasmanian pop/rock band Velvet Revolution is the collaborative songwriting project of musicians Vincent Pollard and Owen Mulcahy. Combining memorable hooks and carefully crafted arrangements with a restless desire to experiment, their songs draw from a wide range of influences, including The Beatles, Grizzly Bear, Black Country New Road and Frank Zappa.

Isabella Mahmoud, a rich and soulful voice brings some funky, angsty energy but better yet some groovy tunes. Isabella’s music reflects a young artist full of stories, curiosity, and soul, exploring life through her original music. She’s craving out a soundscape that feels both timeless and entirely fresh, blending jazz, soul, RnB and heavy rock for a fusion of music you’ve never heard before.

With nasty bass and gnawing guitar, a highschooler drumming savant, cinematic trumpet and cerebral lyrics shot through vocals rattling from the soul, In Lieu carves drawn-out and cutting dynamics into each and every song, with plenty post-rock and screamo influence to bait your nostalgia. They describe it as post-emo plus, but In Lieu is truly transgender emo.
