Vegetable Gardening with Kids!

We all want to feed our kids the best possible food. Why not the freshest produce from your own backyard/patio. Learn how to garden with your kids and take home a planter you create together! It’s never too early (or too late) to learn where our food comes from. In this class we will transplant starts, sow seeds and learn other tips/tricks to get the whole family involved.

Join Teresa Mayer (and her family) in their garden. Teresa is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Home Economics Teacher, avid Gardner and Horticulture student who has been teaching our kids about food for almost 20 years. Connie Kuramoto, Organic Master gardener and Horticulturalist from Gardens on the Go will also be joining in on the fun.

***This course includes a 2 gallon planter, potting soil, seeds and a couple of starts per family as well as some light snacks for the kiddos.

Price is $27.50/family (4 people or less).

$5/person for additional people if your family is bigger than 4 people.

An additional planter can be created for $15 if desired (please request in advance so sufficient supplies are on hand).

*Children 1 and under are welcome and not included in the ‘head count’.

Other helpful details: We have a mix of sun and shade in our yard, please come dressed for the weather. This class will run rain or shine.
