Vegetable Gardening & Plant Swap
About this Event
Attention Plant Enthusiasts!
Join us at the Zora Neale Hurston Branch Library for our first edible plant swap event. Come ready to learn about plants and exchange clippings, seeds, or full plants.
We want everyone to have an enjoyable experience we ask the following:
To check if your plants are invasive beforehand, visit UF/IFAS Assessment - University of Florida, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences - this website will pull up non native plants only.
- Only bring healthy, pest-free plants – please check them before you bring them with you. No invasive species.
- Bring one plant, cutting or seed pack to trade. The more you bring, the more you can bring home.
- All plants and clippings must be labeled with what they are and the care.
- Plants or cuttings must be in a container for easy transport. Plants must be in a pot you are willing to give up. Clippings must have a wet paper towel around the stems.
- Absolutely no selling. Only trades or giveaways.
For questions, please contact the Urban Horticulture Program Specialist, Terri Zuidema at [email protected].
